The laptop I use

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 2.

Here is a list of what I was looking for at the time, and what I’ve found works great:

It’s Colour Correct

I often found when printing artwork, or when posting to Instagram, the colours would be completely different. Now that hardly ever happens, although I will say it’s not 100% accurate - but pretty close

Print on Demand - The Good, the bad and the Ugly

As a digital artist in 2022 there are various ways to make a multi-hyphen income. With passive income being the new buzzword it’s hard to avoid, and who doesn’t want to make money passively?

Print on demand companies allow you to upload your work and sell it, without the hassle of printing, storing and delivering it. For all this, you loose out on some of the profit. Sounds great, however, that percentage can become an issue if you’re looking to make a living from selling your artwork.

In my time selling artwork online I’ve had some bad and good experiences with Print on Demand, so I thought I’d share them with you

My Favourite Places to Eat and Drink in Lisbon

Lisbon is a food-lover’s dream. Pasteis de nata, sardines by the bucket and wonderous cakes and steaks. This is all great but, I have a confession to make; I am basically a vegan, and my boyfriend is actually ‘A’ vegan which means this list is (maybe, happily for some) very vegan and gluten free heavy. This is not necssarily a bad thing. Lisbon’s vegan scene is very diverse, skilled, delicious and even contains some of the classic Portuguese dishes. If you’re also gluten intolerant vegan restaurants are also great for desserts since Portuguese mains tends to be gluten-free anyway.

All this said, I ate a lot of meat, fish and gluten before, and my family still visit (who are not practicing vegans or prone to outbreaks of intolerance’s) so hopefully I have something for everyone

My top 5 first-time spots in Lisbon

I’ve lived in Lisbon now since 2019. I’ve always considered myself the type of traveller that falls head first into a city, right into its crannies but of course, to do this you need to scope out the more obvious spots first. It’s no good trying to get a sense of any place without the largest milestones first. So, I wanted to share my top places for first-time travellers to Lisboa, Portugal.

My First Market

My First Market

Last year around November I completed my first market in Lisbon. Having previously lived in Anjos, a borough of Lisbon, I was familiar with Anjos70, a cool and arty collective.
At the beginning of every month, they hold a market which includes vintage clothes, jewellery, plants, food and artwork as well as other crafted goods. I chose Anjos70 because it’s one of the few indoor markets and I knew that other artists also sell there. It also has an informal vibe which I quite like. Not only that the whole thing only cost €25 to join which meant I was risking fairly little.
