Developing my style from my loose risograph drawings, I went on to create these naive and intentionally silly but beautiful scarves.

Size: 63cm in square

Emma works with a sustainable printing company in Europe to create her organic cotton and silk scarves. The scarves are then sewn by a friendly tailor in Lisbon, Portugal.

Silk Satin has a satin weave with a glossy surface and a crepe back. It is a warp-dominated weaving technique that forms a minimum number of interlacing in a fabric. The fabric is formed with a satin weave using filament fibers made of silk. Because of its transparency, the print is shown on both the front and the backside of the fabric but more clearly on the front. The printing method is also sustainable.

They will be exhibited at the 2024 Lisbon Design Week, under the Young Generation category. You can buy the scarves here.
